At Bladins emphasis is placed on fully developing the students’ intellectual, aesthetic, emotional, physical and moral potential and, as a school, serve as an example of educational excellence. Students learn how to learn, discover the joy of learning, develop the capacity to solve problems independently and in cooperation with others and acquire knowledge and sensitive awareness of universal ethical and moral issues.

Curriculum

Bladins International School of Malmö is an authorized IB World School and offers the full IB continuum – Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. We are committed to the continued development of the IB that the school offers high quality education through the PYP, MYP and DP. The IB education provided by Bladins prepares students for the demands of higher education and future careers. Our graduates have gone on to attend universities worldwide including Yale, and University of London, Cambridge and Durham.

Students work to develop ICT (information and communications technology) skills through integration within the curriculum and as separate courses. Students in PYP have access to Windows based laptops (mobile computer labs) and tablets. Students in MYP have a 1 to 1 Macbook Air programme as well as access to other technological resources.

For non-native English students, we offer English as an Additional Language (EAL). Swedish courses are begin in PYP 1. Additionally foreign language courses are offered from MYP 1- DP 2.

The Learning Support department provides additional support for students with a range of learning difficulties, including Dyslexia.
